  • Picture ID
  • Any custody papers
  • Two proofs of residence:
    • Lease agreement
    • Utility bill
    • Pay stub
    • Current voter registration
    • Current automobile insurance policy

Attendance

Parents/Guardian of a child having 3, 6, and 10 unexcused absences from school will be sent a notification letter. Once the child reaches 10 unexcused absences a Social Worker will be notified. Parents/Guardian will be notified by mail if a child has 15 and 20 unexcused absences.

Immunizations

A kindergarten student must have some shots before entering school. There will be a grace period of 30 calendar days as of day of enrollment for a child to have shots completed. If not, the child will be suspended until shots are completed.

Twenty-one Day Failure Policy

A student who is absent a total of twenty-one days per school year, whether for reasons defined as lawful or unlawful, shall automatically fail for the school year. If a student has passing grades but amasses twenty-one or more days, he or she must appeal to the principal for a ruling. Appeals of decisions invoking the twenty-one day failure rule may be made to the Pitt County Board of Education.

Unexcused Tardy/Early Dismissal Procedure

Repeated tardies and early dismissals from school or class is a Category 1 Offense according to PCS Code of Conduct. According to PCS Code of Conduct, the following actions will be initiated on the days indicated below:
